My precious birds #5

Daily birds 92 - Red-footed falcon

A sleepy Burrowing Owl looks very judgmental as it takes note of this observer. This was one of a community of owls that have taken over a never-built housing development in Florida. They are thriving in this new grassland environment. 🪶🦉

Trick-or-treating Tufted titmouse!🎃🍂

This is possibly the most gorgeous individual bird I've ever spent time with and photographed, a stunning male Black Redstart! 😍 Taken a few years ago at Brean Down in Somerset. 😊 #Birds 🪶 You can buy my 2027 Birds calendars here; ko-fi.com/carlbovis/sh... 🐦

Daily birds 90 - California Quail

Exceptional views of the North American Grey-cheeked Thrush at Quarff, Shetland today. With just five of us watching it, the bird hopped around unconcerned and fed just a few metres away. #BirdingScotland #UKbirding #RareBirdsUK #Birds #UKWildlife

Daily birds 89 - Osprey

And let's hear it for the ladies! This is the female splendid fairywren. Gluepot Reserve, South Australia. #wrensday
